Brazilian and former Barcelona and PSG star Neymar Jr.
Indian football fans are set for a treat as Brazilian and former Barcelona and PSG star Neymar Jr. is set to play in India in AFC Champions League tournament. Indian Super League side Mumbai City FC is drawn in the same group as Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal.
Neymar Jr. recently joined Al Hilal from French club Paris Saint-Germain following in the footsteps of many big-name European footballers. Alongside Neymar, Al Hilal has signed other top players like Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergie Milinkovic-Savic, and Ruben Neves.
Alongside Al Hilal and Mumbai City FC, Navbahor of Uzbekistan and Iran’s FC Nassaji Mazandaran are the other two clubs completing group D. The draw for the group stages took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday, August 24.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr is drawn in group E alongside Iran’s Persepolis, Qatar’s Al-Duhail and Tajikistan’s FC Istiklol.
The preliminary stage of the AFC Champions League 2023/2024 tournament will kick-of on September 18, with teams being distributed across five groups.
